Cooperation with the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS)

As peat is one of the most important raw materials for the horticultural industry worldwide, but also hobby gardeners, and often significant for the success of their products, we are working closely together with the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS). This cooperation is visible especially in event management and marketing, but also in the exchange of publications.

In 2005, IPS and ISHS held a very successful joint symposium on "Peat in Horticulture" at the International Symposium on Growing Media in Angers, France.

In September 2007, a joint symposium, including a "peat day" with presentations and excursions was held in Nottingham, United Kingdom.

In 2010, the traditional symposium "Peat in Horticulture" will be held in Amsterdam on 11 October on the topic "Life in Growing Media".

For 2011, we have planned a joined symposium in Castelldefels, Barcelona, Spain.
